Curriculum:
Northwest Elementary Schools offers a balanced assortment of academic courses designed to motivate our students to develop the abilities to think critically, solve problems and communicate effectively. The core classes at Northwest include reading, writing, science, social studies, math, physical education, art, library/computers, and music. Additionally, 5th grade students are able to take band throughout the school year. Students are provided field trips throughout the year to extend learning opportunities.
In addition to the academic curriculum, Northwest students are taught social and emotional curriculum through Positive Behavior Interventions and Supports (PBIS). A description of the expectations are listed below.
